Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions for a Body Wrap Business

Q. How do I get started?

A. Getting started in Body Wrapping is easy. Our Body Wrap Business Kits have everything you need to get started including Business Training Manual, Training Video, and all the Supplies and Products you need to start performing body wraps right away.

Q. Are there any State Certification Requirements?

A. Laws and Licensing requirements vary by state. Check with the Board of Cosmetology, Department of Health, Professional Licensing Board for your state for the proper licensing for health and safety requirements.

Q. How much space is required?

A. Not much space at all! Most professionals start their clients on a massage table to dry skin brush the body and prepare them for the wrap procedure. Then the client will stand for the wrapping procedure and can either sit in a chair, perform light cardio activities (such as walk on a treadmill) or lay on the table. So it is easy to use your existing space.

Q. Is a shower required?

A. No shower is required or even recommended after a body wrap treatment. The client should simply be wiped off with a wet cloth.

Q. How long does the treatment take?

A. Plan a minimum of 90 minutes for each client for a full body wrap treatment. This includes measuring the client (about 10 minutes), dry skin brushing (about 10 minutes), applying the clay or mud (if using clay or mud) and wrapping the body with the bandage wraps (about 20-30 minutes), then have the client stay wrapped up for about 45 minutes, and unwrap and wipe down, then apply the gel (another 15 minutes). Times are approximate. And you should plan some extra time in the beginning if the client is new to have them fill out the Client Chart and go over the procedure.
